Odumodublvck ‘Questions’ How Asake And Olamide Continue To Rule The Charts After Every Release, Says “I Don’t Know Why…”
Asake and Olamide have had a steady run at the top charts for a long time, and it has caused a slight “concern” for other acts, with Odumodu being the latest to “jokingly” hint at the feat the duo has continued to achieve through their music.
Odumodublvck, a young Nigerian rapper, caused controversy recently with a remark he made regarding Asake and Olamide. He jokingly remarked that he needs help understanding how Olamide and Asake continue to maintain their hit songs at the top of the charts.
No doubt, these songs are genius afrobeats productions deserving of their accolades, and Odumodu’s comment is rather a disguised commendation on how well the duo has managed to build their craft and brand, especially on the charts.
Odumodu said this in a since-deleted tweet, who added that he needed “clarification” about their inspiration for moving other artists from the top spot on the chart immediately anytime they release a project. The singer of “Declan Rice” claimed that since they have already “achieved success” in life, it is frustrating for them to continue contending for the top spot with other up-and-coming artists.
Odumodublvck wrote,
“I no know wetin Olamide Baddo and Asake dey gain as dem dey that number one o. People wey don already make am for life. mscheeew!!!”
Despite being a joke, the post offended several users on social media who didn’t get it, and the rapper deleted his tweet after netizens began to attack him.
Due to his recent rise to domestic and international fame, Odumodu has continued to be in the news. The most recent occurred when guests at a gathering he had just hosted were stunned, speechless by an unexpected event.
One of the guests with a physical disability lent the performer his crutches during his performance. To the crowd’s delight, Odumodublvck held up the crutches in a surprising turn of events that many had never witnessed.
A spectator posted a snapshot of the Hip Hop act hoisting their crutches to the skies in performance on his Twitter page. However, the moment the physically challenged man who gave Odumodu the walking stick could dance without it was the night’s biggest highlight and had people speculating about it like a “miracle” had occurred.
