Simi Laments The State Of The Nation; Says “Nigeria Breaks My Heart Everyday”

Simisola Kosoko, also known as Simi, is a well-known musician who has lamented the severe economic difficulties the nation is experiencing. Simi has been vocal about the lack of basic amenities, high unemployment rates, and the widening wealth gap in Nigeria. She believes that the elite’s incompetence and mismanagement have contributed to the current state of affairs, leaving ordinary Nigerians to bear the brunt of these challenges.
She claimed that the situation in Nigeria “breaks her heart a little more every day.” The singer of “Duduke” questioned how Nigerians handled the current economic crisis. She posted on her Twitter account on Wednesday night saying:

Recall that after President Bola Tinubu cancelled the fuel subsidy, the pump price soared to N612 per litre. As a result, the cost of living in the nation rose along with food prices. Simi’s impassioned outburst struck a chord with her supporters and started an intense discussion in the comments about the desperate state that the nation is in. Simi’s outburst resonated with her supporters and supported the nationwide conversation about the dire state of the nation’s economy. Many citizens expressed their frustration and concern over the increasing cost of living, which further highlighted the urgent need for government intervention to alleviate the hardships faced by ordinary Nigerians.
