Tierra Whack Set To Release Anticipated First LP In Six Years
Tierra Whack, the renowned rapper from Philadelphia, has just made an announcement that’s sure to excite her fans. She’s all set to release her first full-length album since 2018, titled ‘World Wide Whack’. Tierra took to Instagram to break the news, displaying the album cover shot by conceptual artist Alex De Corte. She confidently called it her “debut album” despite technically being her second.
According to her post’s caption, the first single from the album, titled “Shower Song,” is slated to be released on Friday, January 26. The album’s press release reveals that the cover art is a glimpse into the “World Wide Whack” character, an alter ego created by the rapper. The character is described as being both untouchable and vulnerable, superhuman and painfully human. The press release also mentions that the character is inspired by 17th-century Italian clown Pierrot, fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli, and Donna Summer.
The album’s visual rollout will feature images and videos that will reveal the character’s story, which is something that fans are eagerly looking forward to. Tierra Whack is known for her unique style, and her previous full-length album, “Whack World,” was very well received by critics and audiences alike. The album was inspired by the rapper’s experiences growing up being bullied in a predominantly white school.
