J. Martins Is Appointed As Abia State Government’s Special Assistant On Entertainment

J Martins, a Nigerian Hip-life musical act, has been honored by the Abia State government with a political position. Recognizing his innovative contributions to the entertainment business, the state government named him as one of the new appointments to the incumbent governor, Alex Otti.

The ‘Oyoyo’ singer will serve his native state as a ‘Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment,’ according to his job description. He announced the news on his Instagram account, thanking his principal and the people of Abia for considering him worthy of service.

Knowing what lies ahead, he sought for everyone’s prayers, believing that the Almighty would provide him the means to serve the people of his state in his new capacity. He also acknowledged the new Governor and appreciated him for the opportunity given to serve.

Along with Martins, Dr. Alex Otti, the governor of Abia State, has named 27 other individuals as Special Advisers, including former Super Eagles captain Nwankwo Kanu and former Director of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Ugochukwu Okoroafor.

While Kanu was named the SA on Sports and Chairman of the Enyimba International Football Club, Okoroafor, an economist and graduate of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Plateau State, was named the SA on Monitoring and Evaluation.
