Born on January 24, 1987, Luis Alberto Suárez Díaz is a Uruguayan professional football player who competes for both the Uruguayan national team and Campeonato Brasileiro Série A club Grêmio. Suárez, also known by his nickname El Pistolero (‘The Gunman,’) is recognized as one of the greatest footballers of all time and one of the best strikers of his generation.

He has almost 500 goals in his career for club and country and has won two European Golden Shoes, an Eredivisie Golden Boot, a Premier League Golden Boot, and the Pichichi Trophy.
