Born on October 21, 1962, David Ibiyeomie is a Nigerian pastor, writer, and televangelist. He is also the founder and leading pastor of Salvation Ministries, which has its main office in GRA, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

David Ibiyeomie completed his elementary and senior school at Banham Primary School and Government Comprehensive senior School Borikiri, both in Rivers State. He enrolled at Port Harcourt’s University of Science and Technology in 1980.

David Ibiyeomie ministers to millions of worshippers via live services and his television ministry, Hour of Salvation. He writes books and runs a podcast on the internet.

This would lead to the establishment of Salvation Ministries (Glorious Chapel) with an average of 20 members on April 13, 1997, at plot 17 Birabi Street, G. R. A Phase 2 Port Harcourt. The church had such rapid growth that, in 1999, they were forced to move from Plot 35 Birabi Street to Plot 17 Birabi Street in the same G. R. A. in Port Harcourt.

According to reports, the church’s land is valued more than N1.5 billion. Salvation Ministries was among the first to offer five services on a Sunday due to a growth in the number of members. Prior to becoming a multinational megachurch, Salvation Ministries had the exclusive record for being the Nigerian church with the highest rate of growth.

Today, at a single service, the church’s membership attendance exceeds 50,000.
