MC Lively Biography
MC Lively was born in Osun State on 14 August 1992, but he is originally from Agenebode in Edo State, Nigeria. He attended Ideal Nursery and Primary School in Ile-Ife, Osun State, and Moremi High School. After finishing secondary school, he studied Law at Obafemi Awolowo University. He graduated, attended law school, and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2016. However, he declined the option to practice Law to pursue comedy.
Michael Sani doesn’t hide from the public that he applied for admission to study at the university after applying for the Jamb three times because his initial choice was to read English. He also applied for admission to study mass communication once and got lucky on his third try to read Law.

Parents
Mr. Alunyo Gabriel and Mrs. Martha Charity Sani are the parents of Micheal Sani. He often recounts how he frequently felt like an adopted child growing up due to his mother’s tight regulations and that she didn’t spare him the rod. However, he also acknowledged that he was hard-headed.
Last December, as a Christmas present for his parents, MC Lively bought them a Toyota Sienna car. He claimed to show gratitude for their early love, support, and care for him and his siblings.

In a family of five, he is the second child. Four brothers—Michael Sani, Francis Sani, Joseph Osizehmete, and the late Emmanuel Sani, also known as Showki, the first son—made up the family. He worked as a pharmacist until his death in October 2020, and the cause of his passing has not yet been disclosed to the media. MC Lively also has a Sister, Mary Odufa Sani, who is his only sister.

At a very young age, MC Lively began acting professionally. At 17, he gained notoriety for acting prowess, earning the moniker “Lively” from those around him. Most Nigerians would not think twice about pursuing the opportunity to learn and practice Law, but MC Lively does not. Despite having a degree in Law, having attended law school for a year, and having been admitted to the bar in 2016, MC Lively still chose to forgo Law to focus on his passion and ability for comedy.
He claimed that deciding to forgo a career in Law to pursue a comedy career was not difficult for him to do because he has always had a gift for making people laugh. Opa William’s Nights of a Thousand Laughs was one of his favorite television shows when he was a kid.
He claimed that nobody else laughed four times when he performed as a stand-up comedian at the institution. One such time, not even his girlfriend laughed at his joke. Since it was so embarrassing for him, MC Lively could not sleep properly for days. MC Lively did learn, however, that he was better at being an acting comic as a result of that setback.
He began serving as an MC (Compere) at events in 2013, then in 2015, after earning his law degree, he opened an Instagram account and started posting comedic skits. He rose to fame after posting the “Agidi” sketch in 2017, which addresses the petrol shortage. His comedic sketches typically address challenges that Nigerians face in real life. His Reverend Father’s sermon in the church served as the basis for this comedy. In addition, MC Lively developed the story for the movie that propelled him to fame right there in the church. MC Lively has over 1.7 million Instagram followers, 216 thousand or more Facebook likes, and 43 thousand or more Twitter followers.
His achievements in the entertainment industry, particularly his comedic work, have earned him fame and numerous honors. He earned the City People Music Award for Comedy Act of the Year in 2019 and the Ooni of Ife’s Royal African Youth Leadership Award.
