Accident

Despite slamming his Haas into a barrier and splitting the car in two, Mick Schumacher walked away from the Monaco Grand Prix unscathed. The race had been postponed owing to excessive rain, and when it eventually started, there was always the risk of a crash given the slick circumstances.

However, the bulk of the drivers handled the early portions of the Grand Prix successfully, and with the track drying off, the prospects of a dramatic crash appeared to have decreased. That is, until lap 27, when Schumacher lost control of his car and spun around before crashing into a barrier.

It quickly snapped in half, and when television cameras displayed video of the damaged Haas, it was unclear where Schumacher was. Fortunately, he reappeared a few moments later and escaped the wreckage unscathed.
