Actress Kristen Anne Bell was born in the United States on July 18, 1980. While attending the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, she began her acting career by playing lead roles in stage productions. She then made her Broadway stage debut as Becky Thatcher in the comedy musical The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and appeared in a Broadway revival of The Crucible the following year.
She went on to star in the 2004 action thriller Spartan and garnered recognition for her work in the television drama Gracie’s Choice. She received critical praise and a Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television for her portrayal of the title character in the teen noir drama television series Veronica Mars (2004–2007).
