Eben, born on 9 September 1979 in Lagos, is a Nigerian native and is the fifth child in a family of six. His upbringing was centered around his Christian faith, instilled in him from a young age. He attended Orile Primary School and later received his education at Community Grammar School in Orile, Lagos.

Eben’s journey in the music industry began in 1997 as a rapper under the guidance of his elder brother. However, he soon discovered his true passion and calling as a gospel singer. In 2005, at a youth conference organized by Pastor Chris, Eben first gained recognition for his talents. During this event, his hit song “Imarama” debuted to the public and instantly became a favorite among gospel music lovers. Today, Eben is a well-respected gospel singer, songwriter, vocalist, and minister known for his exceptional blend of Afro-pop, hip-hop, and dance music. His unique style and talent have earned him a special place in the hearts of music enthusiasts worldwide.
Eben was a part of the Pastor Chris Oyakhilome-founded Christ Embassy in 2006. Eben’s debut album, “On the Rock,” which has songs like “Imaranma,” “God Dey,” “Iwo Nikan,” and “I Don Hammer,” among others, was published in 2007. He followed up his debut album with “Phenomenon” in 2010, which featured songs like “Supper Man,” “Imele Papa,” “Siya Nma,” and several others. Another album by Eben, entitled “Justified,” was published in 2013 and featured songs like “You Alone Are Worthy,” “Onye Nwem,” “How I Love You,” “For Ever,” and “All The Way.”
The commercial branch of Eben’s record label, Hammer House of Rock, is named Hammer House Ventures, and it focuses on event planning, interior design, and music and video production. He also released another album, “Magnified,” with songs like “Stayed On You,” “Everything,” “Idi Nma,” “Lifted Hands,” and other worship songs. But Eben went viral after he released a song titled “Victory.”
