Given the abundance of talents emerging from the streets, we’ve seen several breakthroughs for most new musicians who enter the industry by sheer hard work and use freestyle videos to tease what they have in store for us.
The trio in this video have worked to get to where they are at this stage of their careers. They have been releasing hits-upon hits, and their latest collaboration hasn’t been talked about enough.
It is only natural to expect a video to accompany one of the songs now dominating the streets of Nigeria, “Gwagwalada,” and BNXN (aka Buju) has produced just that. The much-anticipated music video for BNXN’s (aka Buju) chart-topping song “Gwagwalada” which also stars serial hitmaker Kizz Daniel and raving performer Seyi Vibez, has finally been released.
Composed by one of the best in the business, Sarz, “Gwagwalada” establishes the nature of what to anticipate and debuts as one of the top anthems of the year. Pearliks Definition filmed and directed the video.
BNXN is an aspiring musician who just signed a record deal with Burna Boy’s company. “Beauty Underneath Just Understood” was the meaning of his abbreviation “Buju.” But, he switched to BNXN, a creative twist on his real name, after learning that another musician was already using the alias Buju.
He attended Babcock University to get a degree in Theatre Arts. The musician’s mother, though, passed away following a protracted battle with cancer. He has said in interviews that the loss of his mother inspired him to work more diligently. This rekindled his love of music.
This dynamic song, however, is a follow-up to his previous offering, “Omo Elewa,” which also features T.Y.E.
