Burna Boy’s historic achievement confirms his place as the world’s top African artist. With the release of his smash song “YE” in 2018, Burna Boy shot to prominence, an unparalleled feat for an African musician. With “On The Low” and “Last Last,” The African Giant, as he is affectionately known, is the only Nigerian musician to have two Diamond hits in France.
His fourth album, “African Giant,” which is nominated for a Grammy, is the first in Nigerian history to be awarded a platinum plaque in France. With ten nominations, Burna Boy claims to be the Nigerian artist with the most Grammy awards. In February 2024, he created history by becoming the first African musician to perform at the 66th edition of Grammy Awards’ main ceremony.
