Destiny’s Child Regroup To Perform For Kelly Rowland’s Husband’s Birthday

Kelly Rowland’s husband was serenaded by Destiny’s Child at a special performance on his birthday.

On Thursday, January 11, a picture of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams celebrating the well-known talent manager with microphones in hand appeared on social media. The picture was uploaded by Rowland’s husband, Tim Weatherspoon.

In addition, celebrities including JAY-Z, The Dream, DJ D Nice, actor Michael Ealy, and Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey attended the all-black affair.

Destiny’s Child, which was originally made up of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, LeToya Luckett, and LaTavia Roberson, made waves in the 1990s with classics including “Say My Name,” “No, No, No,” and “Bills, Bills, Bills.”

But the group changed lineup with Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin taking Luckett and Roberson’s places, though the latter left after just five months. Earlier this month, Luckett surprised fans by sharing a picture of the five members of Destiny’s Child together for the first time.

Franklin was not in the picture; he only ever recorded one song with the group. The 42-year-old expressed in her comment that she hoped they “all experience beautiful moments like this in 2024” and that the reunion was “hands down her favorite moment of 2023.”

Like the rest of the group’s fans, Bey’s father Mathew Knowles is optimistic that a reunion of Destiny’s Child would eventually take place.
