DJ Cuppy Bags Third Degree From Oxford; Fiancé, Family Present At Ceremony
The renowned Oxford University has awarded Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, a third degree, and a certificate. Early on Thursday morning, she posted photos to Instagram with the message, “I’m a Third Degree HOTTER! Oxford University MSc done!!!.”
Oxford’s Sheldonian Theatre was the venue where the graduation ceremony was held. In addition to her fiancé, Ryan Taylor, she was joined by her parents and other family members.
Her delighted father, Femi Otedola, shared her graduation photos in a similar post, saying, “Congratulations on your Oxford University MSc Graduation Ifemi @CuppyMusic. I’ll start saving for your Ph.D. school fees; no knowledge is wasted. In response, she replied, “I think 3 degrees is enough. Love YOU, Papa”.
Cuppy received her bachelor’s degree in business and economics from King’s College, London, in 2014—a long time before she received her master’s degree from the University of Oxford. Upon graduation from King’s College, she received a Master’s in Music Business from New York University in 2015 and a second Master’s in African Studies from the same institution in 2022.
Even though Cuppy aims to chase her music career seriously in the future, her transformation from a disc jockey to a highly educated powerhouse of knowledge is a testament to her commitment, work ethic, and willpower. Success in school depends more on one’s work ethic than income. In addition to DJ Cuppy, other students have repeatedly demonstrated that even the loftiest ambitions are reachable with effort and determination.
