DJ Zinhle Gives Nadia Nakai Credit For Supporting Her During AKA’s Untimely Passing
The late South African rapper AKA, better known as Super Mega, did leave behind his rapper girlfriend, Nadia Nakai. But most notably, he left behind his 8-year-old daughter, which he shares with DJ Zinhle.
Zinhle took to Instagram to express how difficult AKA’s tragic death has been for their daughter. She stated that how she has been getting on with Kairo has been pretty tough, adding in her post’s caption, “I feel helpless cause I can’t help my child deal with the pain.”
Zinhle also revealed that Kairo Forbes especially had a hard time days leading up to AKA’s birthday on January 28, 2024. In her statement, the DJ expressed her gratitude to her partner Bongani Mohosana for helping to take care of AKA’s baby Kairo.
Unexpectedly, she also thanked AKA’s girlfriend Nadia Nakai for “sharing the load” with her in a message.
On Sunday would have been the multi-award-winning rapper’s 36th birthday. His relatives and friends visited his tomb on his first birthday after his passing. AKA was shot and killed in February 2023 in front of a Florida Road eatery in Durban.
He was supposed to perform in the city the night before he passed away. Detectives were very close to solving the double murder of AKA and his companion Tebello Motsoane, who also died that night, according to Police Minister Bheki Cele’s statement in September.
