Given that other acts like Fireboy DML, Tems, and Omah Lay had already established themselves as very established stars in comparison to some of the names he mentioned save Rema, it is evident that the context in which he was speaking was in reference to the “newest/youngest guys on the block,” but trust netizens to interpret his statement. Supporters criticized the “Unavailable” singer for leaving out Fireboy, Tems, and Omah Lay on social media comment sections. In contrast, some, particularly his 30BG supporters, tried to explain the situation their favorite had provoked.
