The talented Nigerian artist, Bloody Civilian, has expressed her desire to team up with a handful of fellow musicians. Specifically, she has singled out Asake, Seyi Vibez, Ayra Starr, Tems, and Portable as top choices for potential collaborators. It is worth mentioning that the emerging Nigerian singer has already collaborated with Rema on the soundtrack of the American superhero film Black Panther 2, titled ‘Wake Up.’
During a recent interview with Max 102.3 FM in Lagos, the Nigerian singer-songwriter and producer Emoseh “Bloody Civilian” Khamofu listed the acts she was hoping to collaborate with in the future with reasons for some, and her list had netizens giving the “bombastic side-eye” following her inclusion od controversial street-hop act, Portable.
In her words, She said,
“I would love to work with Asake, Seyi Vibez, Ayra (Starr), Tems, and Zazu; Portable.”
For her fans, Many acknowledge that there might be some divergence of opinion concerning Portable’s involvement in the list for forthcoming projects, given the recent controversies surrounding the artist. Nevertheless, when questioned about her choice to include Portable, Bloody Civilian articulated her rationale:
“You know, people listen with the vibes. If you listen to his [Portable] vocals, he reminds me of Terry Apala but less English.”
