Fave Releases New Chill-Bop Single “Silence”

It’s easy to believe that the Nigerian singer was destined to be a musician if you listen to her talk. Fave was born in Lagos and moved to Uyo when she was seven. Music has always played a significant role in her life and has assisted her in coping with the upheaval of her upbringing due to her father’s work as an architect. She believed that having to move around a lot as a child broadened her appreciation for various musical cultures. And now, there’s no stopping Fave.

Fave’s first recorded song, “M.O.M.M.S.,” was produced, mixed, and mastered without the benefit of significant funding by a friend who recognized the potential in her early work. She then started participating in online competitions and posting soulful freestyles, gaining her new fans and followers. One of those freestyles, “N.B.U.,” went viral and propelled Fave to a specialized audience and onto many people’s radars, including YBNL leader Olamide. Fave reached a new level of creativity by releasing her EP Riddim 5 and working with Olamide on two songs from his ninth solo album, UY Scuti. Fave served as muse on the song “Want” and his duet partner on “PonPon.”

Another significant accomplishment was The Superstar Fave’s collaboration with Davido on the album’s standout track, “Kante,” from the latter’s recently released “Timeless” album.
