Fuji Legend, Saheed Osupa, Successfully Graduates From The University

Popular Fuji icon Saheed Osupa and other students who met the requirements for graduation from the University of Ibadan (UI) have been awarded bachelor’s degrees. 1,590 first-degree graduates from eight faculties were present on the second day of the institution’s 2023 Convocation Ceremony, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Agriculture, Social Sciences, Education, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, and Technology were among the faculties that were represented. Speaking about his accomplishment, Osupa—real name: Akorede Babatunde Okunola—praised the university for the thorough training he received in the Department of Political Science.

The singer claimed his new educational status gave him fulfilment and has made him bold enough to rub shoulders with educated folks in important gatherings.  The 54-year-old Fuji singer, who received Second Class Honours in the Upper Division, also stated that the academic achievement had filled a vacuum in his life.

Giving a speech at the ceremony, Osasuyi Dirisu, a UI alumnus and executive director of the Policy Innovation Center in Abuja, urged the graduates to not let setbacks discourage them. Mr. Dirisu urged them to stop depending on outside approval and to adopt a purpose-driven attitude on life.

In addition, the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Kayode Adebowale, had earlier in his speech stated that the degrees given out were evidence that the graduates had been assessed and found deserving in terms of both character and knowledge.
