Nigerian Rapper, Reminisce, Reveals Plans To End His Acting Career For Good

Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru, better known by his stage name, Reminisce, is a Nigerian rapper and actor who has announced his retirement from the world of film and television. The respected indigenous rapper, whose acting career debuted in the 2018 hit thriller crime series, “King of Boys,” announced that he will no longer taking on acting roles moving forward.

The rapper disclosed this in a recent interview with the Zero Conditions podcast. Reminisce revealed he only agreed to play Makanaki in the action series because he just wanted to try his hands at something he was not used to. He went on to say that although he would have made him happy to grant fans’ requests to see him in more films, he had to take a rain check.

However, Reminisce did not forget to highlight his adventurous nature, hinting that he might opt to pursue a career in broadcasting in the future just for the sake of pure enjoyment. Not too long ago, the rapper had disclosed he was taking a sabbatical from his music career. Reminisce earlier clarified his reasons for wanting an intentional withdrawal from public view.

During the interview, he also stated he that he his family will always come first before his career.

Reminisce, who recently made his much awaited comeback after seven whole years with the publication of his highly anticipated studio effort, “ATSG, Vol. 1,” disclosed that his career was taking up all of his time and that it had to change.
