GloRilla Makes “Bold Claim” About Her Project

GloRilla released her latest mixtape, Ehhthang Ehhthang, last month. It’s her second official project after the late 2022 release of the Anyways, Life’s Great… EP. Two singles that have both been reasonably successful served as the project’s launchpad. The first group, “Yeah Glo!” received some significant cosigns from famous people, including LeBron James. With over 60 million Spotify plays, the song is still in the top 30 hits on the Hot 100 this week. The second single, “Flexin’ On Em,” has also been gaining traction on streaming platforms and featured on several popular playlists. GloRilla’s unique sound and catchy lyrics have been resonating with fans, solidifying her as a rising star in the music industry.

The second single featured a well-known mashup with Megan the Stallion. Together, the two fierce MCs dropped “Wanna Be,” which is already just as popular as its predecessor. The song made a remarkable debut in the Hot 100’s top 20, debuting at number 11. It’s still in the top 50 this week on the chart as well. Unsurprisingly, the record did well, debuting in the top 20 of the Billboard 200 and remaining there since its release. Despite this, Glo is still promoting the album and made a humorous claim in a recent tweet.

One of Glo’s followers tweeted that she’s been working out harder at the gym because of the new album. Glo seems to clarify that it was a deliberate decision after seeing the message herself. She replied to a tweet with the phrase, “My mixtape literally will make yo ass grow; I saw it with my own two eyes.” Fans continued to respond to that post with more details about the successes the record was bringing them. Some fans mentioned how the upbeat tracks helped them push through tough workouts, while others shared stories of feeling more confident and empowered after listening to the album. Glo’s music resonates with her audience in a positive and impactful way.
