Israel/Hamas Conflict: Drake’s Father Supports Rapper’s Silence So Far

In a recent interview, Dennis Graham, father of the famous rapper Drake, expressed his support for his son’s decision not to publicly comment on the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Hamas terrorist group. Graham stated that he believes his son has the right to remain silent on political matters and that it’s important to be mindful of the potential consequences that could arise from making a statement. He went on to say that he trusts his son’s judgment and is proud of how he handles his public image. Despite the pressure from fans and the media to speak out, Drake has chosen to keep his thoughts to himself, which has garnered criticism and praise.

In an interview with TMZ on October 15, the elder Graham expressed that celebrities are in a “damned if they do, damned if they don’t” situation when it comes to speaking out on geopolitical affairs. He said;

“I’m sure it affects everybody, you know what I’m saying?”

“But just stay out of it, especially if you’re somebody that’s well-known.” “But be a celebrity and favour one against the other, and it’s going to come back on you. Stay out of it.”

These comments from the elder Graham were made just two days after well-known hip-hop celebrity DJ Vlad intensified his criticism of Drake and DJ Khaled for their silence on the Middle East issue. The prominent media figure visited The Breakfast Club on Friday, October 13. It informed co-hosts Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy that he meant what he said on Drizzy and Khaled’s alleged “radio silence.”
