J Mascis To Embark On UK And European Tour For 2024
J. Mascis, the iconic frontman of Dinosaur Jr., has just announced an exciting UK and European tour set to take place in spring 2024. The tour will include seven shows scheduled for April, with the first concert taking place on April 2 in Antwerp, Belgium. Mascis will then move on to perform in Amsterdam and Berlin before heading to the UK, where he will play shows in London, Manchester, and Glasgow. The tour will conclude in Dublin, Ireland, making this an international event.
This tour comes on the heels of Mascis’s latest effort, ‘What Do We Do Nowas, ‘ which was released on February 2 through Sub Pop. The album was created during the COVID pandemic when Mascis found himself working on a series of songs on his acoustic guitar at his Bisquiteen Studio in Amherst, Massachusetts, US. The resulting material has a different dynamic than the music of Dinosaur Jr. and showcases Mascis’s versatility as an artist.
In addition to his solo tour, fans of Dinosaur Jr. will be excited to know that the band is scheduled to make a UK-exclusive appearance at Bearded Theory in May 2024. This means that fans will have two opportunities to see Mascis perform live in the UK in 2024. Overall, this tour promises to be an unforgettable experience for J. Mascis and Dinosaur Jr. fans.
