Jennifer Lopez Is Gearing Up To Release Her First Solo Album In Nine Years

According to Billboard, Jennifer Lopez and BMG have signed a new recording and publishing deal, which was announced exclusively today (Sept. 11). This Is Me…Now, the award-winning singer and actress better known by her stage name J.Lo, will be released via Nuyorican/BMG as part of the global alliance. It has 13 tracks.

Lopez’s debut studio album as a solo performer in nine years, following the 2014 release of A.K.A. on Capitol Records, will be the collection. RedOne’s produced album, which peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 chart, was released. She and Maluma released the Marry Me soundtrack in 2022 through Universal Studios/Sony Music US Latin.

This Is Me…Now was produced by J.Lo, Rogét Chahayed, Angel Lopez, and Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman between 2022 and 2023 in Lopez’s Los Angeles home studio. Hitboy, Ink, Tay Keith, Yeti Beats, Carter Lang, and Kim “Kaydence” Krysiuk are among the other songwriter-producers who contributed to the album. BMG’s Brandon Riester served as the album’s A&R.

The forthcoming set, according to the press release, “is an exciting musical trilogy showcasing the triple-threat’s extraordinary talents.”  Although Jennifer Lopez hasn’t put out an album in almost ten years, she has been sporadically putting out music over the years. However, as evidenced by the success of her 2019 film, Hustlers, she has recently become more well-known for her acting than her music.
