Joshua Mike-Bamiloye Warns ‘Genuine Christians’ To “Stop Going To Davido And Wizkid’s Shows”
Joshua Mike Bamiloye, a producer of gospel music from Nigeria and the son of a Mount Zion gospel filmmaker, recently sparked an online discussion about Christians attending concerts with secular music by stating his viewpoint. Bamiloye expressed his concern that attending shows with secular music could expose Christians to ungodly influences and compromise their faith. He emphasized the importance of being cautious about the content and messages conveyed through such events, urging fellow believers to prioritize spiritual growth and discernment in their entertainment choices.
The music producer shared on his official Twitter page why genuine Christians shouldn’t participate in events featuring secular artists like Davido, Wizkid, Rema, and others. He explained that his perspective stems from the stark contrast between the values and messages promoted by secular artists and those upheld by genuine Christians.
According to him, participating in such events could compromise one’s spiritual beliefs and lead to a dilution of their faith. He continued by correctly predicting that some people would disagree with his position. He said those led by the Holy Spirit should know how to set boundaries. He wrote;
