The Joint Mixtape, “GANGSTA GRILLZ: I STILL GOT IT,” From Snoop Dogg And DJ Drama Has Been Released

Gangsta Grillz: I Still Got It, a new mixtape from Snoop Dogg and DJ Drama, has been made available. The 13-song album features Juicy J, Dave East, Trinidad James, as well as Kurupt and Daz Dillinger, two longstanding Snoop collaborators, as guests.

The album also features cameo appearances from singers October London and Jane Handcock to highlight some of the current talent on Death Row Records, the iconic West Coast label Snoop acquired earlier this year. Behind the scenes, lowrider-friendly production is offered by individuals such as Rick Rock, Don Cannon, Nick Papz, Hollywood Cole, and even Snoop (under his production alias Dr. Bombay)

However, as the mixtape’s title suggests, the 51-year-old rap legend and Gangsta Grillz general’s main goal is to remind listeners that they are still writing numbers on the board. In September, Snoop Dogg and DJ Drama made the initial announcement for Gangsta Grillz: I Still Got It by posting a screenshot of a FaceTime session on Instagram.

The two have previously collaborated on projects such as Tha Blue Carpet Treatment (Tha Mixtape), The City is in Good Hands, the That’s My Work series, and 2009’s “Day Dreaming” with Akon and T.I. Snoop Dogg released his 19th studio album, Bacc On Death Row, in February. It had guest performances from Nas, T.I., DaBaby, and other artists. Gangsta Grillz: I Still Got It is his second full-length album to be released in 2022.
