Mercy Chinwo Announces Her First Headline Concert For Easter Celebrations
To celebrate this year’s Easter celebrations, Nigerian gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo, will give her first live performance in Lagos. The ‘Overwhelming Joy’ event is open to everyone and is officially free. The occasion will happen at Eko Hotels & Suites on March 29, 2024. The concert is expected to be a spiritual experience.
The 12-track album she recently released, Overwhelming Victory, was recorded while she was pregnant, and that is the name of the show. Her previous studio project, the Elevated EP, went on to become the first project by a Nigerian female gospel singer to reach 100 million streams, according to Album Talks HQ.
Mercy Chinwo’s record company, Grace and Truth Nation (GNT), said in a statement that the event would be the official launchpad for the highly anticipated 12-track album, “Overwhelming Victory.” Romans 8:37, a passage from the Bible, served as the inspiration for the singer’s latest album.
Twelve songs make up the album, which also includes gospel musicians Pastor Jerry Eze and Chioma Jesus. March 2024 saw the release of Mercy Chinwo’s most recent album, which is also her third studio effort. Furthermore, with “You Do This,” a track off the new project, the acclaimed gospel performer revealed her first pregnancy and child’s delivery in 2023.
