Nick Cannon Admits Being A Little ‘Heavy-Handed’ With His Eminem Diss Tracks

Media mogul, Nick Cannon, has admitted that he was a little “heavy-handed” back when he used to trade words with Eminem. Nick Cannon and Eminem have infamously traded shots so many times over the years. So much it became a little hard to keep up with.

Em, who allegedly dated Cannon’s ex-wife Mariah Carey for six months, dissed the former couple on the track “Bagpipes From Baghdad” in 2009. This had Cannon legit heated over the blatant disrespect! The nerve! In fact, he admitted in a 2020 interview with VladTV to having intentions of physically harming Eminem at a certain point.

A decade after their first beef, as the tempers cooled, Slim Shady decided it was time to reignite their old feud when he dissed Cannon and Mariah Carey on the Fat Joe single “Lord Above”.

This time, Cannon completely emptied the clip on Eminem with not just one but three diss tracks rife with inappropriate terms and descriptions. But there seems to be a paradigm shift with Nick in recent times.

“I was a little overzealous,” Cannon says. “I was a little heavy-handed. I’m going to say a couple of things. First of all, I love Eminem as an artist. Slim Shady LPThe Marshall Mathers LP — those are some of my favourite albums.”

He also revealed that the main goal of going hard, toe to toe, with Em was to bring on his show, Wild ‘N Out.
