Fans were thrilled to see the announcement, which was made today, Friday, June 9, 2023, even though an official time or place has not yet been determined. After its debut in Portugal in 2019, the Afro Nation festival has grown enormously, and when Ghana hosted the first edition of the festival in Africa in 2022, Africans were ecstatic.
Co-founder Adesegun Adeosun Jnr, also known as SMADE, discussed the impending plans to bring Afro Nation to Nigeria and gave an explanation of why the festival is being introduced to Lagos. He remarked that many international superstars who have helped to establish Afrobeats as a beloved genre are from Nigeria.
And as someone who grew up in Lagos and then spent years promoting African music in London and elsewhere, he claimed that bringing the Afro Nation performance back to Lagos will genuinely be a full circle moment. Fans are asked to sign up for news updates so they may be the first to learn about additional information and purchase tickets for the history-making fest.
