Phoenix Collaborates With Pusha T on “All Eyes on Me” Remix

New Iteration Features Chad Hugo and Benee, Adding a Fresh Spin to the Track

Phoenix, the renowned band, has unveiled a fresh version of their song “All Eyes on Me,” which now boasts contributions from Pusha T, the Neptunes’ Chad Hugo, and New Zealand’s singer, Benee. This new release has garnered attention, not just for its musical composition but also for the unexpected collaboration.

The band expressed their gratitude for the collaboration in a statement, highlighting Pusha T’s frequent presence in their backstage and Chad Hugo’s consistent support during their Virginia performances. They also commended Benee for her swift contribution and the “magic” she added to the track.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Pusha T has been associated with Phoenix. The rapper had previously showcased his verse on “All Eyes on Me” during a live performance with Phoenix at Paris’ We Love Green festival in June. This collaboration seems apt, especially since Clipse, Pusha T’s hip-hop duo, had released their own track titled “All Eyes On Me” back in 2009, featuring Pharrell Williams and Keri Hilson.

The original “All Eyes on Me” is a part of Phoenix’s 2022 album, Alpha Zulu. Following its release, the band also introduced a reimagined version of “After Midnight,” which features Clairo, and a new track titled “Odyssey” with Beck’s contributions.

Alpha Zulu, produced by Phoenix and recorded in Paris’ Musée des Arts Décoratifs, was inspired by a unique experience. Frontman Thomas Mars was motivated to pen the track after hearing a pilot repeat the phrase “alpha zulu” during a turbulent flight amidst a storm. This album marked a significant return for the band, being their first major release after a five-year hiatus since their 2017 album, Ti Amo.

In the backdrop of these releases, Phoenix continues to make waves in the music industry, showcasing their adaptability and willingness to experiment with diverse musical collaborations. Their recent endeavors highlight their commitment to evolving their sound while also paying homage to their roots.
