Portable Announces Himself As A Police Ambassador Following Recent Arrests

The controversial singer Portable has now announced that he is an ambassador for law enforcement, just one week after he jumped over a barrier to avoid imprisonment by the police.

The singer posted pictures of himself with his father and a few senior police officers at the Lagos Police headquarters to Instagram on May 21. In his caption, Portable asserted the police’s friendship with the community.

This comes after he was detained on May 14, for not wanting to settle the outstanding ₦14 million debt he had after purchasing a ₦27 million Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon from an automobile dealer. It has been reported that the vendor has made unsuccessful attempts in the past to get in touch with Portable.

He was contacted by the police, who read him his arrest warrant, as shown in the viral footage, and at that moment, he quickly flew over a neighboring gate and fled. He was shown to have been captured in another viral video. Afterwards, several policemen dragged and carried Portable into their patrol van before having it removed.

The controversial singer then shared an image to Instagram on May 15, following his release from custody.  With little delay, he also recorded a song called “Spiderman” that described the incident. Clearly, one cannot shame the shameless.
