Reason Police Allegedly Arrests Mr. Ibu’s Sons And Adopted Daughter Shared By Former Manager

It is no longer news that the police allegedly arrested Mr. Ibu’s daughter and sons following claims by his wife of a scam in place; however, the reason why the police invited actor John Okafor’s adoptive daughter Jasmine and his older sons Daniel and Val has now been disclosed by Emeka Chochoo, the star’s former manager. Daniel and Val are the names of his sons from an earlier relationship.

Stella Maris and Jasmine recently put their discord aside and rallied together to ask Nigerians to contribute to Ibu’s medical expenses. With the help of generous Nigerian donors, Ibu underwent surgery a few weeks ago, during which one of his legs was amputated. But after the donations started rolling in, the two ladies again began bickering about money.

It was claimed that Stella Maris Okafor, the wife of Mr. Ibu, ordered their detention after requesting information about the money that Nigerians had sent to her sick husband. Jasmine, according to Stella Maris, is the one with access to the account and has declined to provide a statement regarding the account’s usage. Actress Doris Ogala revealed on Wednesday night, Nov. 22, that Ibu’s adopted daughter, Jasmine Chioma Okafor, together with his sons, had been taken into custody on suspicion of having transferred about N300 million in donations from Nigerians to Mr. Ibu’s bank account, to another account, and to flee the country.

Doris wrote:

“Jasmine and Ibu’s sons were arrested at Alagbon Police Station. They are detained there. Ibu’s wife alleged that Jasmine moved  N300 million out of the account. Ibu’s wife allegedly wanted them to buy her new house from the money contributed so far for Ibu’s treatments. That’s why she arrested Jasmine. But investigation states that the money contributed isn’t even up to N300 million.”

Speaking to the press, the former manager of Mr. Ibu, Chochoo, responded by confirming that the police had invited Jasmine, Daniel, and Val owing to the actor’s “account.” He mentioned,

 “Yes, they were all invited by the police. I won’t call it arrest; the police invited them over Mr Ibu’s account. However, Val is left out as he knows nothing about what’s been happening. He just returned to the country. I have not been able to reach any of them,”
