Portable Joins Netizens To Slam Oladips Following Faux Death Announcement

Street-hop star Portable has declared he will never stage his demise to sell his album in light of the recent events surrounding Oladips’ faux death announcement that had gone viral on social media. The rapper Oladips, who was declared dead on Tuesday, is rumoured to be still alive. Portable confirmed this in an Instagram post on Thursday. Not even two days after Olaidips’s death was declared, the tale began to spread when his management released his album. According to Qdot, his buddy and colleague who confirmed the faux plot, the rapper was allegedly still alive. He posted a photo of the rapper on Instagram, saying,

“My gee is still alive.”

Some Nigerians took offence at his insensitive and disgusting joke and targeted Oladips, who received a lot of backlash for it. Portable was one of those angry Nigerians who expressed frustration on all his social media channels. Portable declared in a video that he wouldn’t ever use death to promote an album. The “Zazu” singer promised in a now-viral video that he would never stage his death to promote an album. He disparaged Oladips even further, calling his strategy a foolish ambition.

“Life never tire me ooo! Me I no go use my death promote my album o! Fans mi I wan drop my album celebrate me when I am still alive,” Portable said as he announced his 19 tracks album which he said would be released on Friday. I’m still alive. Celebrate me when I’m still alive, una no go post my RIP.”
