Oladips Finally Speaks Up; Reveals He Almost “Lost His Life” As Netizens Continue Backlash

Nigerian rapper Oladips, who was earlier declared dead by his management, has come out of the chaos surrounding his purported death alive and well. On social media, the musician shared his own side of his experience and voiced his annoyance at being made fun of during a trying time on his Instagram page.

Oladips posted a number of Instagram stories on Friday, November 24, in which he discussed how close he was to death and expressed his disappointment at the individuals who were mocking and criticizing him. He revealed that some people had resorted to making fun of him. He went on to say that he had brought the situation to Allah’s attention.

“Almost lost my life yet world people dey use me laugh dey curse me. Some dey even use me do skit. Okay, I don report una give Allah,”

Checking Oladips’ Instagram account on Thursday, November 23, revealed that the post proclaiming his passing had been removed. Shortly after, a new video featuring the rapper playing songs from his recently released album “Superhero Adugbo” with the phrase “Proof of Life” was uploaded.

The 28-year-old rapper addressed the matter during an Instagram live session, looking obviously ill as he thanked everyone who had sent him supportive messages. Even though the majority of netizens have remained antagonistic toward him, he said he would give his complete side of the story when he felt much better and had the strength to do so.

In his words,

“Everyone just dey talk their own, at least na me you dey see like this life and direct, shout out to everyone that has been sending me message and everything, right now I’ll just focus on getting better when I have the strength enough or when I’m ready cos I see say everybody just dey talk, talk without knowing what actually happened without hearing from me direct, when I feel like I’m good enough to address everybody I will come online and tell you people my side of the story, na wetin I come talk be that.”
