Mohbad’s ‘Blessed’ EP Charts In 14 countries On Apple Music Following Announcement Of Artiste’s Death
Street-pop sensation Mohbad, who passed away to glory on September 12, 2023, currently sits atop the Apple Music charts in 14 nations with his recently released EP, Blessed, in what appears to be a posthumous recognition.
Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known by his stage name MohBad, was a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter from Lagos who was once signed to Naira Marley’s Marlian Records. His top hits include Ponmo, Feel Good, and KPK. On September 12, 2023, he was confirmed dead after receiving an injection following an “Ear Infection”. MohBad’s untimely demise left a void in the Nigerian music industry, as he was known for his unique blend of Afrobeat.
