Rema And CKay Scheduled To Perform Alongside Kendrick Lamar At The “Hey Neighbor” Music Festival
Rema and Ckay, two Nigerian vocalists, will play at the Hey Neighbor Music Festival in Pretoria in December 2023. The duo is part of a stellar list of musicians that will entertain festival-goers throughout the three-day event, which is supposed to be a celebration of good times and togetherness.
Rema’s performance at the Hey Neighbor Music Festival will round up a successful musical year for the Mavin vocalist. He performed at the 2023 NBA All-Star Game in February. In September, his duet with Selena Gomez, ‘Calm Down,’ became the first Afrobeats song to reach a billion streams on Spotify and the first African song to chart for a year on the Billboard Hot 100.
At the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, the song received the first-ever Best Afrobeats Song award. Ckay has having a similarly stellar year, as his debut album ‘Sad Romance’, continues to earn critical praise and international popularity with hits including ‘Emiliana’ and ‘Watawi’.
