Omah Lay And Rema Scheduled As Headliners For DOUR Festival 2024

The 2024 Dour festival will be headlined by Rema and Omah Lay, among other A-listers.

Afrobeats will be added to the DOUR festival’s broad lineup for its 2024 edition. The Belgian municipality of Dour hosts the Dour Festival every year. The festival began in 1988 and attracted approximately 225,000 people in 2015. The event this year begins on July 17 and runs for five days, ending on July 21.

The event team is expanding its enticing and wide-ranging concert by 50 new names. A few names on the outstanding program are NSG, Justice, Skepta, SCH, The Blessed Madonna, and Four Tet, among other international acts.

In addition to his scheduled appearance at the DOUR festival, Rema has declared that he will win a Grammy. Despite not being nominated for a Grammy at the 2024 ceremony, Rema said at his visit to the Lagos residence of wealthy businessman Tony Elumelu that he will win a Grammy at the following year’s ceremony.

Rema also secured five nominations for the iHeart Radio Awards in 2024. Pop Song of the Year, Best African Music Act, Best New Artist (Pop), Best Collaboration, and Song of the Year were among the categories for which Selena Gomez’s song “Calm Down” was nominated.

Omah Lay, on his part, has predicted that in 2024 and the next years, the well-known sound associated with Afrobeats will undergo significant alteration, which begins with his highly anticipated sophomore LP.
