Spotify’s DJ Feature Takes Music Discovery To The Next Level; Management Hold Dinner With Nigerian Media Personalities And Influencers
The world’s most popular music streaming service, Spotify, has unveiled a new feature that lets media figures and influencers make and share playlists with voice annotations. The DJ Mode feature was created to display the many perspectives and tastes of Spotify’s creators while providing listeners with a more participatory and engaging experience.
In a few markets, such as the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, DJ Mode is accessible. Users can browse the Made for You hub or do a creator search to obtain DJ Mode playlists. The feature aims to give artists more chances to interact with their followers and showcase their personality through music. Additionally, Spotify hopes fans will benefit from DJ Mode by learning more about the artists they enjoy and new music and genres. To promote Nigeria’s recently announced AI DJ feature, Spotify threw a star-studded dinner on Thursday, September 14, 2023, bringing together influencers and the media. The occasion demonstrated Spotify’s dedication to transforming the music listening experience domestically and internationally.
The Dinner at Ile Eros Restaurant in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, allowed guests to interact with and experience Spotify’s AI DJ function firsthand while expressing their opinions and ideas. The attendees participated in a stimulating fireside discussion with Michelle Atagana, Spotify’s Head of Communications and Public Relations for Sub-Saharan Africa, who provided information on the DJ feature, which is extremely popular among Gen Z and Millennials, who comprise 87% of the user base.
Atagana claims that the DJ is a cutting-edge tool that uses artificial intelligence to create custom playlists based on customers’ listening habits, moods, and preferences.
