Tems Dazzles In White At TIME 100’s Next Gala In New York
Nigeria’s own global superstar Tems stepped out in class for the TIME 100 Next Gala on October 24, 2023, in New York City, alongside her manager.
The global music sensation hit a noteworthy achievement when she was included on the TIME 100 Next List for 2023. Over a hundred people showed up for the Gala, which took place in Midtown Manhattan. Obviously, Tems was given an invite to the TIME 100 Next Gala, and she dressed up in a silk white flowing gown and clutching a small milk-colored purse to go with.
She had reportedly merited a spot on the TIME 100 list for 2023. This list was ushered in by TIME 100 in an a bid to change the way it presents its narratives. The current list was put together by today’s OGs as a tribute to people from different walks of life that are still carrying on their legacy.
Tems was nominated by the iconic American singer-cum-actress, Mary J. Blige. Alongside other huge celebs like Ice Spice, Hailey Bieber, and Bella Ramsey, she was listed under the Phenoms category. In such a short time, Tems has achieved numerous firsts and seen unbelievable success abroad.
Early this year, she emerged as the first Nigerian female artist to win a Grammy, thanks to her sampled feature on Future’s smash hit, “Wait For U,” with Drake.
