Wizkid’s Father Expresses Joy Over His Son’s Music Success

Mr. Muniru Olatunji Balogun, the father of Wizkid, a world-renowned artist from Nigeria, has expressed his thanks for still being alive to witness his son’s achievements. He said this during a quick interview with Goldmyne TV when he was present at a lavish wedding ceremony.

Mr. Muniru Olatunji Balogun thanked God for his son’s career, good health, and his membership in the APC. He expressed happiness at being well and living while his son’s musical career flourished.

In addition, Mr. Balogun talked about his contributions to the Alaba neighborhood, particularly his effective advocacy for power installation in 1972. Wizkid’s father also claimed that after the merger, he became the chairman of the ruling APC after first serving as the ward chairman of the now-defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).

He also acknowledged serving as the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s (14 years) chairman in Alaba, Lagos. He stated:

“I came to Ajegunle in 1972. And at that time there was no light in Alaba. So, I’m the one that went to NEPA and made them come to survey the whole of Alaba and gave them light. So, those are my contributions [to the community] .“Also, I’m the Babadeen of Alaba Central Mosque. And also a former chairman of the APC for 14 years. I thank God that I’m still alive and my son, Wizkid is still doing well,” he said.
