Burna Boy Expresses His Affection For Ghanaian Market Women Who Dance To His Song

Burna Boy has taken notice of the famed Ghanaian market women dancers’ latest routine, which has gone global. In a new video, the eager women take on the ‘City Boy’ challenge to the Nigerian singer’s song. Official Starter, a prominent Ghanaian dancer known for his viral videos with market women dancers, was the first to release the footage.

‘As I dey for market e dey give me joy,’ he captioned the TikTok video, which has had over 750K views and over 1000 comments in less than 24 hours. After noticing the video, the Grammy Award-winning musician decided to share it on his Instagram story so that his 15 million followers around the world could catch up with Accra’s challenge participation. The post was captioned with love emojis by Burna Boy.

‘City Boy’ is one of the tracks on the singer’s latest album, ‘I Told Them.’ The Nigerian singer’s seventh studio album was released on August 25, 2023 by Atlantic, Spaceship Records, and Bad Habit. 21 Savage, Dave, Seyi Vibez, J. Cole, GZA and RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan, and Byron Messia all make guest appearances on the album.

In other news, Burna Boy’s concert in Johannesburg’s FNB Stadium has been rescheduled. According to Sunday World, the event, which was scheduled for September 23, has been moved to December 16 owing to sound and production issues.
