Davido Discloses How His Affluent Father Used His Power To Cancel His Earlier Shows
Nigerian musician Davido has been transparent about how his father had to cancel many of his shows. The artist revealed how his influential father used his power to punish him for deviating from a generally understood arrangement.
The performer disclosed that his father had wanted him to graduate before pursuing a career in music in an interview with American TV host Kelly Clarkson.
As a result of his father’s insistence that he attend school, Davido said that they had came to an arrangement where the singer would have to study for two weeks of every month and then spend the other two weeks chasing his music career.
Furthermore, OBO recently praised the influence of afrobeats on global music culture, claiming that the genre has transformed society. The musician gushed about the influence of the genre on his Instagram page, saying that it’s clear that afrobeats has altered the globe and that music has become beautiful in a variety of ways.
In addition, the self-proclaimed “Omo Baba Olowo” has confirmed three dates for his end-of-year concerts and revealed that his Timeless Tour train will return to Nigeria in December. The musician announced on social media that he will be returning to Abuja, Port Harcourt, and Lagos to perform live as a promise to his Nigerian fans.
