Wizkid’s Unreleased Verse On Drake’s ‘One Dance’ Surfaces; Fans React

According to reports, Afrobeats maestro and top-notch singer-songwriter from Nigeria, Wizkid (real name Ayodeji Balogun), contributed an unreleased verse to Drake’s hit song “One Dance.” The music from Drake’s 2016 album “Views,” released in December 2022 and, as revealed to the media, contained a version with a more audible Wizkid verse, earned a diamond certification in the United States by selling over ten million units. But, sadly, this “new and clearer” verse was left out of the initial release and had only started to circulate online and has gotten fans talking.

On Canadian heavyweight rapper and singer Drake’s “One Dance,” the starboy frontline artist and owner appeared as a guest along with British vocalist Kyla Reid. However, Wizkid’s role in the song was panned by many due to reports that he wasn’t heard enough in the music. But a genuine Wizkid fan page just released the most recent rendition, in which Big Wiz sang a “clearer” verse on the hit song.

Wizkid has become an icon of Afrobeats and is similarly broadening his horizons like Burna Boy. As part of his MLLE tour, he has set preparations in motion to perform at the headlining renowned Tottenham/London Stadium in the UK.

The Afrobeats sensation recently performed before a sold-out crowd at the 20,000-seat Accor venue in Paris, France. He followed it up with another sold-out performance at New York City’s largest indoor venue, Madison Square Garden. After that, he plans to take his career to the next level by playing at stadiums.

The Grammy-winning artist teased the headline performance at the 80,000-seat London Stadium on November 27, 2022, through Twitter. He stated:

This revelation comes after Burna Boy’s earlier announcement that he would perform at three stadiums in 2023, including the 34,000-capacity Gelredone Arnhem in Arnhem, the Netherlands, the 80,000-capacity London Stadium London, England, and the 40,000-capacity Paris La Defense in Paris, France.
