Bobby Shmurda Claims That He Has Been Compared To Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Diddy, And DMX

As Bobby Shmurda continues to work on his debut studio album as a fully independent artist, big things are on the horizon for him. It’s been eight years since Shmurda debuted his big single “Hot N*gga,” and after serving time in prison, he’s back on the scene and producing new music left and right. Shmurda is preparing for a new season after a snafu with his label, and fans are impatiently awaiting his first official aural introduction.

The rapper is recognized for being a positive person in the music industry, so he brought his positive vibes to legendary Los Angeles radio station Power 106. Shmurda discussed the parallels he frequently garners from the public as they pick which Rap icons he reminds them of during his chat with host Bryhana.

“I get a lot of DMX, P. Diddy, 50 [Cent] , and Jay[-Z] sometimes,” he said. Because of Hov’s personality, Shmurda questioned the analogies. “But when I see Jay, I’m like Jay? Jay is wild calm. I’m more [energetic] , but I think when I’m on my business side, like, when I get in those rooms and sh*t, yeah, it’s a different person in me,” added Shmurda.
