Young Thug’s Trial Video That Shows Him Looking Defeated In Court Goes Viral

On social media, a video of Young Thug appearing defeated in court is trending. According to reports, the US rapper, real name Jeffrey Williams, is being tried for gang conspiracy. This week his lawsuit got started. Prosecutors claim that US rapper Young Thug’s Atlanta-based record company is a front for a criminal organization, and their extensive gang conspiracy trial is set to start on Monday.

A Georgia grand jury indicted more than two dozen people last spring, alleging that they were members of the Young Slime Life, or YSL, street gang, which is an offshoot of the Bloods street gang. Among those implicated was the influential hip-hop musician born Jeffery Williams. The indictment sent shockwaves through Atlanta’s hip-hop community, where Young Thug is regarded as one of the most influential artists shaping the sound of modern rap. That provision was first applied to prosecute mob members, and more recently, it was used to convict disgraced R&B artist R. Kelly of sex offenses.

Allegations of specific crimes such as murder, assault, carjacking, drug dealing, and theft support the YSL conspiracy charge. In addition, Young Thug, who established the hip-hop and trap label YSL Records in 2016, is also accused of taking part in illegal street gang activity on one count. However, defense attorneys assert that YSL, also known as Young Stoner Life Records, is just a label and a nebulous group of musicians.
