Smart Adeyemi Biography

Smart Adeyemi is a Nigerian journalist, administrator, politician and former senator. Born in Kogi state, he attended the Federal University of Technology – Owerri (FUTO) and then worked as a journalist, rising to the position of the president of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ).

He officially delved into politics in 2007, clinching the senatorial ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi West, eventually emerging as senator-elect. He ditched the PDP along the line and joined the APC, where he emerged as a senator under the party as well.
