Veteran Nollywood Actor, Yemi Adeyemi “Suara” Is Dead; Family Release Statement
Veteran Nollywood actor Pa Yemi Lawrence Adeyemi, also known as Suara, passes away. Suara passed away on September 25, 2023, according to a statement sent by the actor’s family on Monday. However, they withheld the cause of his passing. Suara’s death marks a significant loss for the Nigerian film industry, as he was widely regarded as one of its most talented and respected actors. His contributions to Nollywood will always be remembered, and fans and colleagues will deeply feel his absence.
His character in the Super Story series Oh Father! Oh Daughter!, where he is a polygamist with Sola Shobowale as his second wife and Buky Wright as his first wife, gave him the name Suara, which has stuck with him ever since. Suara’s portrayal of a polygamist in the Super Story series Oh Father! Oh Daughter! was widely acclaimed, earning him immense popularity among viewers. The name Suara has become synonymous with his character, further cementing his status as a talented actor in the industry.
