Yul Edochie Biography
Chibuike Yul Daniel Edochie, better known by his stage name Yul Edochie, was born in Nigeria on January 7, 1982. He was given the name after Russian actor Yul Brynner. He is the son of Nigerian actor Pete Edochie and hails from the Nigerian state of Anambra. He was brought up in both Lagos and Enugu. He is the sixth and final child. He married when he was 22 years old. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts from the University of Port Harcourt.
In 2005, Edochie made his Nollywood debut in the movie The Exquires, costarring Justus Esiri and Enebeli Elebuwa. Then, after appearing in the 2007 film Wind of Glory with Genevieve Nnaji and Desmond Elliot, he finally got his big break. Edochie established a film academy in Lagos in 2015. The academy offers talented individuals the chance to get their foot in the door of the Nigerian film industry.
