He is the epitome of a strong self-belief. But beyond that, Phillip Kayode Moses, long famous by the adopted stage name Pheelz was patient enough to pursue what he believes in.

Born in Ojo, a town and local government area in Lagos, Nigeria, Pheelz is a native of Ogun state, a neighbor to the state mentioned earlier. His musical adventures started pretty early at the age of ten – in church.

After a stint at high school, he lined up with the music producer Olumide “ID Cabasa” Ogunade of Coded Tunes, where he got grounded in the art of music production, In that organization, he met several key figures who would be instrumental to his rise much later, including Olamide.

He had his first big breakthrough as a producer in 2012 as a producer of the numbers “First of All” and “Fucking with the Devil” off his “YBNL” album. The numbers were chart-topers and pushed Pheelz’s name into the consciousness of music lovers across Nigeria and beyond.

In the intervening years, he had produced music for the likes of M.I Abaga, Runtown, and Seyi Shay, as well as being nominated and won awards for his production skills. Today his name resonates across Nigeria’s music universe as one of the producers of note.

Pheelz is of the Yoruba ethnic group. He was born in the Ojo area of Lagos and has spent most of his life in the state.

Music Production Career

Pheelz is one of the Nigerian musicians who started their music production adventures when they were pretty young. Long before became a public figure, he was experimenting with music production on the side even while in high school.

He popped into the consciousness of many notables as a 20-year-old working in an older producer ID Cabasa’s Coded Tunes. It was at that place that he met Olamide of YBNL and began seriously accelerating as a producer, driving into the national consciousness and the celebrated figure that he is today.
