John Saviours Udomboso, professionally known as Young Jonn, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer currently signed to Chocolate City Music. Young Jonn first gained prominence as a record producer, for which he won many accolades, before debuting as an artist in 2020. He is known for his hits as a lead artist, including “Dada,” “Dada Remix” featuring Davido, “Xtra Cool,” “If You Leave,” and more. He also debuted as a songwriter in the 2010s, penning hits for the YBNL Mafia Family. He was ranked #3 in The NET‘s list of “Nigeria’s Top 7 Biggest Music Producers.”
Young Jonn grew up in a Christian home. He attended Ideal Foundation Primary School, Ibadan, and GOF College, Osogbo, Osun State. He attended high school in Osogbo. During those days in Osogbo, he showed interest in Basketball, Soccer, Musical Instruments, Miming, and Dance. He was good at all of them. After leaving high school, John gained admission into the University of Ibadan, where he studied Communication and Language Arts.
Young John is famous for producing some of the biggest hits by several Nigerian celebrities. He said, “I always used to be really shy. Being young, I thought it was a normal thing but my mother is a psychologist. She would often talk to me about how to relate with people. Along the line, I started getting better, but it started getting worst. At some point, I could not attend gatherings and would rather pass through the back door.
“There were so many people and I found it hard. It made me deprive myself of a lot of things. I did not want to be in certain places and didn’t have the courage to do certain things. I had to force myself to snap out of it. My mother helped me a lot to overcome anxiety. I called her, and she would give me psychology questionnaires. I had big dreams, and, if I kept going that way, it would be hard achieving them”.

While making his debut as an artist with the song “Dada,” the famous producer announced that he had signed a new record deal with the Nigerian label Chocolate City Music.
